Something about a 7.20 sunrise in the Peak District that is magical. Looking over to Castleton, and the old Cement Works, has never looked so pleasing especially with a cloud inversion too.
Got my camera set up and this is my first pic of the day on the tripod.
With the sun just starting to rise, and no grad filter, the bright sun became harder to capture.
As the sun rose above the hills, the golden light bathed the cloud inversion in the valley. I don’t think the old Cement Works has been such a gorgeous focal point.
This is such a beautiful picture with the ‘Heaven Rays’ painting the cloud inversion so clearly.
The clouds were providing a fine filter of the sun and created more rays as the sunlight was still colouring the clouds.
With the sun just coming out from the clouds, more of the cloud inversion, in the valley was bathed in the golden sunlight.
After leaving Mam Tor, I turned to look at the valley one last time, and the sun had risen and the golden light had disappeared, but the cloud inversion still looked as spectacular.
Beautiful views, I can’t wait to do it myself x
